New Video: Classified Unveils New Video For "Fallen" With Billboard

JUNO Award winning, multi-platinum Canadian hip-hop artist and producer, Classified released his long anticipated new EP “Tomorrow Could Be…” via Half Life Records/Universal Music Canada.  The relentless hit maker also confirmed the exclusive debut of the video for the standout cut “Fallen” on  Get “Tomorrow Could Be…here.

Shot in Toronto by Jacqueline Andrade the video for “Fallen” focuses on the daily struggle of moving through life at such a fast pace that we find ourselves drowning.  The visual focuses on many of the songs key themes including frustration, communication, day to day survival and moving swiftly through life while trying to keep your head above water.

“This is my joint,” Classified shared with Billboard.  “For me this was the easiest song to make on the album.  I wrote the verse from the point of observation - marveling at what’s going on in the world and how we as society act and react to it.  I love the feel of this song - it takes me back to some Slum Village, Tribe Called Quest vibes.”

Delivering the innovative and genuine narrative fans expect from one of Canada’s most respected rappers, the six track EP “Tomorrow Could Be…” honors female empowerment, pays tribute to missing and murdered Indigenous women and lends a voice to children and women who have been abused among other themes.  With a humble determination, Classified (aka Luke Boyd), brings attention to a number of important ‘modern day’ topics and issues throughout the EP.

“Fallen” follows the previously released tracks “She Ain’t Gotta Do Much’, Powerless” and “Changes”.

With an inherent and candid ability to break down the barrier between performer and audience, Classified is one of Canada’s most respected and successful rap artists and producers. His self-titled 2013 release debuted at No. 1 on the Canadian Nielsen Soundscan Chart and has sold over 1 million singles and is certified 2x Platinum.  Additionally, the album boasts two Top 10 singles including the 5x Platinum “Inner Ninja” featuring David Myles and the Platinum certified “3 Foot Tall”.  As one of the most influential hip-hop artists in Canada, the multiple JUNO Award winner hosted the 2014 JUNO Awards and has a combined 24 nominations and 8 wins between the MuchMusic Video Awards, JUNO Awards, and East Coast Music Awards.
