Ceez World New Exclusive Interview With Zilla Bones and Rocky Rhodes

1. Zilla Bones and Rocky Rhodes, how did you guys come up with the name Zilla Rhodes?

Zilla and Rocky-

Zilla-Just a compiled version of our names, being that when we come together and collab we turn into a whole new monster.

Rocky-
We got that style you know. It was just a spur of the moment idea that took off. That's how it always is Zilla Rhodes

2. Zilla Bones and Rocky Rhodes, what does the name "Zilla Rhodes" mean?

Zilla-
What we become on our collabo's. A new breed.
Rocky-
It means that traditional hip hop is back. Lyricism has returned and we are the chauffeurs.

3. Zilla Bones and Rocky Rhodes, what was the first song you guys recorded together and what was the concept?

Zilla-

We first got collabed a few years back on a song called "City Of Sin" i was barely getting into the scene at the time collabing with new artists around the city. We worked via email and the chemistry was definitly there so when we got in the studio to create it was an instant connection.
Rocky-

We first collaborated on a song called City of Sin for Zilla's project. I right away realized his potential and instead of trying to outshine him, I knew we could destroy together.

4. Zilla Bones and Rocky Rhodes, what is the concept behind "BoneYard" and how long did you guys to record this project?

Zilla

Just like every artist i wanted to kill all my beats! I can confidently say I did that thus creating a boneyard of tracks we put alot of work into & because it is my yard (bones). I actually had half of the album finished in a  3 month span and due to a few situations that were out of my hand i had to start fresh and it took about 5 months to finish and have us confident to release.

Rocky-

The creative process was really all Zilla , I provided the beat for villain, and was featured on Round Here and we put it out through my publishing company, Soul + Mind Combined.

5. Zilla Bones and Rocky Rhodes, what do you guys feel about the state of hip hop and what do you feel "Zilla Rhodes' bring to the game?

Zilla-

Were both very unique in our own aspects. You cant compare to much of what we do to anyone else out doing it. So when we do this its fresh, new, HARD, relatable and all around hip-hop. You cant stamp a certain sound of coast or genre of hip hop which we keep pushing to keep that motivation. People get bored of the same thing they need something new

Rocky-

I like to think of us as refreshing to the game. Right now everything is trendy, beats have changed and so have styles but true lyricism will never fade away.   We offer a new sound, almost like an alternative hip hop. It's all trials, tribulations, and triumph with us.

6. Zilla Bones and Rocky Rhodes, where do you guy feel you will be in the next 5 years?

Zilla-

We are doing stuff that no other artist is doing in the regional don't that's linking up with powerful connections and learning the business side as well. We will definitely be touring the country and creating with new artist's that share the same vision we do as well as connecting with listeners and if were talking 5 years from now, include our 50 million fans.
Rocky-
No matter where we are I know we will stay true to the game and ourselves. I believe we will be on tour and have cracked the billboard 200 by that time. And hopefully on our way to going Platinum.
